Does anyone like the look of this truck?
The newer bed is definitely funky.... Anyone think it looks good?

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
The bed seems to match the cab pretty well unlike most I've seen.

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
i like it on that truck -- that started to be a popular swap in the early 90's and those are early 90's wheels
That said -- i would prefer the original bed, but that truck looks nicely done and i would not hesitate to roll in that sucker

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
Looks good, someone has taken some time and effort to match up the bed and the lines look nice. Personally I would drive it until I could locate & purchase a nice Fleetside Short Bed, swap it back old school, and roll with a more Classic 72 SWB Fleet appearance. Personal preference, and you know what opinions are like, so if you dig it...run with what ya brung.

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
I think it looks pretty good, i would have chosen a different set of wheels, but to each his own

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
I think the correct box would look a lot nicer and would probably change the wheels also, but that is why these are all called custom so everyone can make it the way they like it!!

From that angle that looks pretty good. Not sure how it would look from other angles though, Im not big fan of the late boxes.

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
It would look so much better with the upper body line on the bed filled in and different tail lights.

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
Change out the bed and wheels and that would be one sweet ride!

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
Lools like a clean little truck. As others said, I too am not a fan of late model beds on these trucks......the mismatched wheel well openings are less noticeable because it's Black. The wheels don't look half bad either except they are just "old' looking.
wouldn't take much to make it a lot better looking though.

Jim is right about the mis-matched wheel opening contours, and the fact that the black makes it less noticeable. All you gotta do is make each end match. Cut out a set of front wheel openings from suitable donor fenders and cut/weld as needed to install them in the front of the cab/chassis and it'll really have some people doing a double-take.

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
Not really my cup 'o tea but it is not totally bad. Still is a Chevy instead of one of those "homologation" rides that have been around.
Here is another example of the "early cab/late bed" trucks: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...3A1|240%3A1308 |

Re: Does anyone like the look of this truck?
There are allot of half breads out here in the high desert of California. I like the original step side bed and would spend the money to get one for the truck. At least the black truck is a chevrolet bed and not a dodge bed.
