Re: how can i spice up my front end...
You could get chrome headlight bezels and grill loops to give it some flare

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
you can make custom inserts to go in the grill openings could also fabricate a small airdam under the front bumper//both very inexpensive just a little bit for materials add your imagination and fabrication skills and its done

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
easiest way is to take a wire mesh or hardware cloth to form inserts to go in the grill opening/ you could also attach drawppulls or knobs for the retro stlyle of grill inserts a chin spoiler under the front bumper you just start with a flat piece of sheetmetal and bend and form it till it looks cool then bolt it on go back thru hotrod mags from the 60's and earl 70's when customizing was not so dependant on out-ofthe box bolt on stuff//back then people made stuff since it appears your state doesnt have front plates you could remove and smooth out that part of the bumper for a smoother look wiothout the bulge for the plate//or measure it then go looking in junkyards for a smooth chrome replacement that will fit and give you a bit of shiney stuff up front

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
....with a bra?
Chrome stuff. It's always nice to see the front of a '67-68 when the bright stuff is there. Grille surround, leading edge of the hood, bumper....whatever is available will look good and dress it up. As for those headlight 1/2 moons, I threw away a pair in '65. If you wanna use them, turn them so they're at an angle, like cat's eyes. You could get a pair of headlight visors like the VW guys are using. Get the ones with the colored jewel in the top of the visor that glows when the lights are on. It would help if the bulb went bad and you didn't know otherwise.

Media blast the grill, loops and bumper. Give everything a fresh coat of white. Get new lenses and hood letters. I really like the blue and white combo.

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
Take the trim and see if it will clean up and polish it. Buy some chrome or S/S head light peices.
Just a couple of idea's. This spoiler is about $60.00 at the chevy dealer. Here is a painted bumper I did. If you can weld it's cheap. Just painted the hinges & hood parts.

That BOW TIE, hit it with some fresh bright Red Paint and some chrome touch up on the sides and it will speak volumes for ya.

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
Luisduran, your front end looks really good. Where did you end up putting your front signals?? and what did you use for the mesh inserts in the grille??

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
Trevorrhine, the turn signals are in the bumper, some led lights from IOWA 80 chrome shop item #170270 the lights are covered with a oval chrome mirror bezel, and the grill mesh i just fasten it with some bolts and tabs.

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
I don't really have anything new to add that hasn't allready been mentioned. I really do like the chrome bumper and trim for the 1967/1968 chevy. It's not cheap however. I replaced mine another of months ago. I replaced a little at a time though.
I have allways liked your truck oldblue1968chevy. I also liked the headlight half-covers. I have thought about doing the same thing. I got the idea from you. A couple of pics of mine. Last one not mine but from the interweb, notice it doesn't have the chevrolet hood letters. Good luck! Keith |

Re: how can i spice up my front end...
I really like the shaved hood letters, bow tie, turn signals and bumper bolts. It really cleans up the front end and lets the basic details of the 67/68 shine! I like shiny headlight trim, bumper and grill opening surrounds. Oh yeah, the '07-current Jeep Wrangler headlights look great too.
