Back Tires/Wheels & Stock Tubs
For the guys that have a bit more rubber than stock, what are you running?
What did it take to get things to fit? Everyone else . . .... what are you running?

I sectioned my tubs and added about 3" width to them.......a 275 isnt huge, but it was mostly due to rim offset. My wheels are for 88-98 3/4 ton 6-lug. The spacing is perfect for the front but slightly deep for the rear. I also have no bed floor so it was very easy to do. You can see it in this pic.

I did a similar thing w/my RestoRod back in the day. 31x18.5 Mickey T's on custom back-spaced 15x14 steelies. Stock frame (minus the bumpstops) w/trailing arms.
This truck won't get much more tire than a 255/70 or 275/60-15 but I seem to remember these tubs as being a tight fit. I don't have a truck to measure accurately so figured it would still be beneficial to gather intel.

On my '66 Burb I'm running 275/60-15's on 8.25 rallys. Just had to massage the outter lip a little. I'm not sure how a Burb compares to a pickup for tire fitment, but I think they're pretty close.
