Picture of 1 ton step side.
A fellow board member, lenard asked me to post a picture of his friend's step side. It looks to me to be a really nice 1 ton. I'm not 100 percent of the year of this truck. Obviously it at least has a 69-70 grill. Being it looks like a 1 ton I wonder if it's the 9' bed 133 inch version.
Any more info Lenard? Nice truck anyway! Looks like a nice resto to me.

The Pontiac/GMC dealer here has a 69 GMC 1 ton diesel 4x4 long step that they used for a parts chaser! Never seen anything like it! Must be the advantage of being a dealer.

Don't forget the one on Ebay last month that had the wrecker sling mounted in the back. I don't think it sold and if I remember right it was under $1grand.

Hey Canada20,
Which boneyard did you see the longstep bed in? I've been looking for one (or parts of one, at least). Dan |

AH HA!!! I knew there were more Calgarians around than had posted on the Canadians thread! (unless you did post in which case, I'm a jackass )
It was in Pick-Your-Part. Right near the front of the yard just as you go in. They had a 70(ish) GMC and a 70(ish) chevy that had both been picked over pretty good. The box on the GMC was full of crap so I don't know how bad it really was but it definitely had some cancer happening. It only had 1 rear fender and it was in need of attention. Good part is that you could probably get it pretty cheap from there. Greg

Yeah, I haven't been on here for awhile. I must've missed the Calgarian thread.
I guess I've gotta start going to pick-your-part more often to catch these trucks before they get picked over. Didn't see anything from our years last time I was there. Thanks for the tip, I may go check it out and see if it's in any better than the one I've got. The fenders are actually the main thing I'm looking for - one of the previous owners fixed some major rust damage by riveting on a *really* thin piece of sheetmetal at the bottom of each fender. Doesn't look too good... Good to "meet" someone else from Calgary. Whereabouts are you located? Maybe I've seen your truck around... Dan |

Nice truck. Are they leaf only or did they come with coils on the rear of 1 tons?
Thanks

All one tons were leaf springs, and no 4X4 one tons were made.
