WTB Back of cab patch

I don't want to buy or go through the trouble of installing a new floor. If anyone has a cab they are junking or parting that has a good back floor area. I need from cab corner to cab corner the floor area that's under the gas tank. Both corners of mine need work and instead of putting in just flat metal to fill the holes, I'd rather patch in the correct piece. Let me know what you have and a price shipped to 23112. Thanks!

Thanks...let me know how it looks...if you could send a pic i'd appreciate it. Probably need a patch about 18" deep from cab corner to cab corner to be safe and let me trim to fit

Re: WTB Back of cab patch

They remake that piece as well...

I really suggest doing the full floor, there is a place near me that sells it for $365 and it's easier to install than any other patch so far...

Is that piece with or without the cab supports? Whereabouts is that sold at? Is it the piece that includes the inner rockers as part of the piece? The rest of the floor is really good with only one or two very minor spots

And here is the message board post about them:

or you could always go the whole floor route -

I actually need the floor on top of that support. The supports are in decent shape....i have one of them to replace a small rust spot but the rest is good.

Re: WTB Back of cab patch

a lot of people have had the same issue with that back floor (mostly just in the corners). Wouldn't be a bad idea to make a piece for that. Another piece might be the back cab right at the welds to the floor. Somthing about 5" tall from cab corner to cab corner.

Both good ideas. They could just make an inside corner patch or add it to the patch they have now that is the piece including the inner rocker

Why you tellin`us?You da part maker.Take some of that pocket change and whip one up.

Seriously,I thing you couldn`t go wrong with producing either piece.I`ve given up on cabs with such problem areas. It`s tough to fix right with so much coming together. And,you need more than flat metal. It needs some strength back there.

Would you be able to take a picture of the area? Is it already out of the truck or are you cutting it out or would I need to bring tools? Looks like you're about 1hr 45min from me but I have family close by I could visit as well. Any parts you might need? I have a lot of sheetmetal and suspension parts as well as a lot of small misc parts/bolts. How much would you want for it? Thanks!

Nice meeting you Kelley! Wanted to thank you for letting me come down and get the patch. Hopefully I'll be able to help you out in return with some of the parts you will need for your 70.

You are welcome. The fire wall will be laying around until we have enough metal to call the scrap man. If you find yourself in a position to come and get it help yourself.
