3/4 and 1 ton guys, help me out here a second
Would someone measure the spring perch center to center on a leaf spring truck for me please? I'm about to buy a rearend out of a later cab and chassis truck and want to know if the pads will work as is or if I will need to move them.
This guy is saying these are 40 inches apart on this rear end. Thank you very much !

My best guess was 40 1/4 inches center of the perch to center of the perch, but my axle is on the truck, but it is on jack stands so did my best guess. It was 42 and 3/4 outside leaf spring to outside leaf spring edge, I estimated 1 1/4 from outer leaf spring edge to center of the perch. These are not exact measurements but will rule out anything more then an inch wider or shorter. This is a one ton 67 C30 dually HO72 to the best of my knowledge, but the frame should be the same width on them all.

Re: 3/4 and 1 ton guys, help me out here a second
If memory serves, the 4 wheel drive early trucks and Blazers are 40" while the 2 wheel drive are something like 42 3/4. Approximately. I sold my 2x4 so can't measure for sure.
Perch width can be an issue as well. My jimmy and the 2x4 Longhorn parts truck I had both had 2 1/2" wide springs but the (2) 2500 trucks I had with leafs were both 2 1/4" wide. I built a jig off my original rear to re-do the perches on my 14 bolt for the Jimmy. I cut the original perches off with the plasma and TIG'd them back. I used the original 12 bolt shock mounts on the 14 as I like them better, better tucked up.

That's what I needed to know. Thank you for going to the trouble of climbing under there for me.
It looks like 40 inches spring pad to spring pad should be a bolt in and get my dually conversion off to a start.
