Power Steering

I am thinking about putting power steering on my 70 c/20 and i was wondering what i all need from a 73-87 truck. I know the pump and brackets but what else. This is a straight axle truck if that makes a difference.

Re: Power Steering

2wd?

you'll need the pump, steering box, hoses, brackets, crank pulley wouldn't hurt... You'll be lucky if the PS pump lines up on the first try... lots of us have issues with them lining up since there are so many options out there...

If it's 4WD then add the drag link too..

Re: Power Steering

First of all the 73-87 trucks have long water pumps and brackets. They will not mix with 72 and down truck engines. If your alternator is on the drivers side, you have a short pump and will need short pump brackets and pulleys. All of the other parts should work.
