Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
Where can I find the best deal on one brand new metal center cap for 2WD five lug Chevy truck rally wheel like what was found on about 75-87 Silverado's?
Also where do I find the brand new & correct 3 bolts that hold them on? Thank you.

I got mine from LMC but I don't recommend it. They didn't fit well and finish didn't last.

If it has to be new and original, Ebay NOS is probably your best bet. I see them on there from time to time and occasionally only one is available. Factory style bolts can be sourced at the boneyard and paint them with Kyrlon Dull Aluminum paint. Perfect match.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
LMC has them listed and I think they are OEM.
Only $110 each?!?!?! That's $440 for a set of four! You could buy the repro plastic ones for a more reasonable of $45 for a set of four. This includes mounting screws but they are just plain black in the center. The Chevy or GMC center decals are $27 and $23 each. So the labels are more than the caps themselves? http://www.lmctruck.com/ICATALOG/CC/full.aspx?Page=96 As for the plastic ones, I have a set on my 4x4 for about four years and they still look good.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
I bought the LMC repro plastic caps and bolts. I was disappointed when I got them. The bolts were plain sheet metal bolts. The caps looked good for a short while, until they turned green that is. If you do buy the plastic pieces contact your local aftermarket wheel supplier to get the center cap stickers. I picked mine up at a local car show for $20 for the set.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
The metal ones are real expensive. When I bought a set for my old '77 back in 1995-1996 they were $75 each from the dealer. Just replacement center emblems are around $20-$25 each and thats just the bowtie medallion.
I'd go with ebay. |

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
Has anyone seen the center cap in question only with a three blade spinner? That is what I was looking for. I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
around here you can go to any tire shope and get the spinner and when you pull your sticker off there should be a hole already in the cap to mount the spinner.

I've not heard anyone that sells the metal replacements. LMC has the plastic ones.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
You can buy the bolts at NAPA, I bought them right off the shelf at the local store. Counter guy wasn't very helpful tho. I still have two in a plastic bag, I'll get the part # if I can find it.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
Sorry, Kevin. I looked and I can't find that NAPA part number/bag/extra bolts I have. Ticks me off too. I built an 1800 sq. ft. garage and cant find a thing in that building! I know the Muncie store has them tho, E-ville should also.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
I say a junk yard is the place to find them for cheap probably like $3-$5.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
I collected a couple from a junkyard and some from a buddy's suburban that has been sitting behing their shop for years. They are out there. Remember, they came on vans too.
I couldn't find any before pics, but they didn't look like this. I assure you. I was shocked that they came out this good. As far as the steel wool thing goes--I did one like that, then I got some of the airplane stripper (paint stripper from O'rielly) and used it with the steel wool. It probably took about five minutes to do all the last three and they came out looking like the above pic. I have a set of brand new gmc caps I found at a swap meet a year ago. From one of the guys that had a trailer full of old wheels. I paid $100 for those.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
I would look on craigslist. I have seen sets of the factory rally wheels on there for fairly cheap. Or post it on the WTB area on here and see if you can come up with some. I am sure somebody on the board has some extra parts sitting around and has some wheels with caps they would sell.

Re: Rallye Wheel center caps and bolts that hold them on.
Also go check at tire shops! There is a guy here locally that sells new and used tires and wheels. In his collection of used wheels, he has quite a few center caps. Also beauty rings. Some are in really good shape, others not so much, but worth a look.
