headliner help on 55 1st series - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

The truck had no headliner in it when I bought it. I ordered a headliner, it came in two pieces and I have no idea how it mounts. I have the strip from the back of the headliner that holds it in place, but no other parts to help install or hold it in place. What am I missing here? What holds the headliner to the front? What holds the two pieces of the headliner together?

I have the cab, chassis, engine, and interior painted and am ready to tackle the inside.

Any advice is appreciated.

I will check mine tomorrow ,but I think mine is pinched by the molding.

That would be great Richard. Check also to see if there is some trim holding the two parts of the headliner together.

You have 3 of the 4 pieces!
There is a center bow that is "S" shapped and holds the two sections together in the center, the sides tuck under the rubber on top of the doors and the top of the windshield. If you have the sun visors be sure and locate the holes before you put the headliner in place.
