Re: Wide tires
search for the build thread of that yellow pro-street... I think he probably has the widest tires I've seen under a stepper.

He took a lot out of the beds though. Keep in mind he has mono-leafs in the rear... trailing arms might make things more difficult. Last edited by 19GMC63; 01-05-2009 at 04:32 AM. |

On my 68 short fleet, I had installed 15x14" steel wheels w/31x18.5 Mickey T's. It required custom back-spaced wheels, larger tubs, & removal of the bumpstop on the outside of the framerail. Pre-67's shouldn't be much different.

Re: Wide tires
Thanks bud,
She doesn't have that many horses for me to wrestler her like the Big Dawgs. . . Mashed on her a couple times and she was dancing all over the road! She's light! Left some white smoke on a couple pansy rice burners a few times. She is dangerous in the rain. Got caught a few times coming to and from a couple local car shows. I gotta work on my steering for one thing. Yank that dag gum steering columb out and put a tilt in her. Got to check on the alignment as well. She was pullin to the right I think. A lot of work to do! Will keep ya updated!

Re: Wide tires
I have seen 14" Sticky Micky's under a fairly stock '65 at "Cruisin the Coast" a few years ago.
It was tubbed naturally. Its all in getting the off set perfect. I was going to do that to mine back in the '90's
