Re: Pinks arm drop ?
I found this on another site . Can't confirm if it's true or not . Just some info i ran across while searching . Sorry for the double space .
Armdrop: Hot Lap Racing Format: Much like Pinks All Out™ Win - get back to the line! If you lose, you're going home. NO sandbagging - run your vehicle as hard as it can run. Most important: Set your vehicle up to hot lap. No kidding, it must be able to hot lap!! Even More Important: Come to the track with a great attitude, and be ready to have FUN!!! These rules are for bikes, cars, quads, snow mobiles, or anything you can get down the track in under 14 seconds. "Minimum 13:99 ET" or quicker vehicles will be allowed to register (track controls car count, holds all registration & tech). Friday will be tech inspection & test tune with Rich and the gang at the track watching all the action. Main raceday is Saturday. If you can't make Friday's test & tune or tech, you will still be able to race on Saturday - if you get in before qualifying is complete. All vehicles will get a minimum of one qualifying pass (2 if time allows) on Saturday morning. That will determine your ET and MPH. Please listen to all announcements very closely. Racing for cash will begin in the afternoon on Rich's armdrops. Money will be awarded (up to $10K) at Rich's discretion amongst several classes of competors. Meaning - lots of racers will have a chance to win money! This is NOT like PINKS™ where one racer wins the entire prize. Hot lap defined: Racers must proceed back to their staging lane immediately without stopping at their pit area, and the driver must stay in or on their vehicle. The vehicles once back in the staging lane must pull into the burn out box and follow the track official's instructions. If vehicles need to be fueled, the vehicle must be turned off and the pit crew can add fuel. This must be done in a safe manner - no exceptions. If determined that any actions taken by the driver's pit crew is unsafe, the team will be disqualified from the competition. Any extended length of time for vehicle to get back to the line will be grounds for a loss. A jump or jumping of Rich's Arms defined: If you move before Rich moves, you go home. But if you have video proof that Rich was wrong (and believe me he's been wrong before), we'll gladly take a look at it. WARNING: present the video quickly... we will not slow down the competition. Protesting: Ok, but remember the electronics are always on - we know what you are doing. All vehicles must pass tracks sanctioning body rules (NHRA or IHRA). Only exceptions are decided by track. Racers must have all the proper safety equipment including apparel designated by your tracks sanctioning body. Remember safety first! All host track facility rules apply and will be enforced by track employees during the event. Multiple vehicles registered by one person is allowed but there must be a driver for each vehicle. One car, one Driver!!! Vehicles allowed to race side by side are determined by track rules. Final Rule: Rich can change the rules at any time to make it a more fair and exciting competition.
