Got my 66 home today part 2 after the wash

well I went to the car wash before unloading the pickup off the trailer. Armed with a scotch guard, comet, and fabuloso mix. The results are night and day. Truck looks blue now.! Here's the before and after. I've got to where I always do this before unloading non runners. what do you thinK?

Re: Got my 66 home today part 2 after the wash

It looks like I will convert it to a long stepper. The bed is trashed, panels, bedsides etc. I found this 64 with a nice long wide bed on it and bought the truck for it.

Looks like a real good truck especially after you cleaned it up. Good score on the parts truck too. Keep us posted on your progress.

Re: Got my 66 home today part 2 after the wash

yeah I washed the inside in and out too. Both these trucks were actually in the flood here a few years back. I havent messed with motor yet. Im going to drain the oil soak the cylinders. see if it will turn over. I have another 250 6 I can put in her if this one is bad. My goal is a work truck with a cheapie paint job for a $1000 budget. . I have a seat from a 2000 F250 I'll probably use, 2 new bias tires already

Re: Got my 66 home today part 2 after the wash

The origianal spare was under the bed and this stepper has no spare tire mount so that worked out.
