rear brake locking 14 bolt diff
i have a 1972 chevy blazer-i did a axle swap military axles dana 60 in front and 14 bolt diff in rear. the brake booster and prop valve is the stock one, why is my rear diff locking on me and i press on the brake hard??

Not enough weight in the back.
if you went to 13" drums, you might try the anti skid valve from the back of a squarebody truck. it has a little flapppy arm to the rear axle you will need to reengineer.

It works by variations is ride height...as the rear squats down you get more brake, thus taking away braking when empty. This truck looks like it has air bags....this would get really tricky trying to make it work with that much travel.

Rear disk is nice, you loose a lot of weight,but it still might lock before the front. Ither way you could just ad an adjustable porportioning valve to the rear brakes, and then adjust as needed. If yo go to disk, unless you use the caddy calipers( or some expencive aftermarkets) you will loose your ebrake
