Question seat and console question

This is a two part question.

I just bought a set of buckets seats with the center jump seat console from a 2000 GMC extended cab truck to put in my 72 Chevy. They look great and fit pretty good. Would like a little more room but they will work.

I was wondering if I could find out how to open the jump seat because the button is broke and I do not know where or which direction the latch moves. Is there a way I can get this lid open?

Also is there anyone or anywhere I could get a template for laying out the seat to fit in my 72 truck? If not what has been the best way to lay them out so they fit and are straight and square sitting in the cab?

Re: seat and console question

I put the seat in the cab, and measure for square and mark the holes. Then pull the seat out and measure the marked holes and transfer to underside of the cab, to make sure you aren't going to drill through anything you don't want to. Make sure you have room for reinforcement plates on the bottom. Sometimes you might need to slide the adjuster one way or the other to get a fit. as far as thr jump seat latch i can't help.
