yep direct bolt in.
you probably have a full time 4wd truck, if you unlock the front hubs, you will to drive in "LOC" or you will go no where. Then only the rear wheels will be moving but the front driveshaft will still be turning. mike |

What vehicle are we talking about here?
If it is an 80's truck with an NP208 part time transfer case and you are swapping from auto hubs, yes its a direct swap. If its a 70's truck with full time 4wd as I think Mike was thinking, then what Mike said above is true but there is normally another piece to the puzzle. There is an adapter kit that is normally added to convert an np203 full time transfer case to a part time. If you don't do this and drive around in Hi-Loc like Mike said, you will always be turning the front driveshaft, differential, and axles. On my 84 K10, driving around with the hubs locked even in 2wd makes a noticable difference in drivetrain vibration and fuel economy. If you have the NP203 with full time 4wd, I would recommend going with the complete conversion kit rather than just a pair of hubs.

If on the other hand you are replacing automatic hubs don't hesitate. Simple swap. WARN
