Need Help COnverting 1970 1/2 Ton 2WD to 4WD
I need help converting my 1970 1/2 Ton 2WD Long Box to 4WD. I am planning to just get ahold of a 4WD long Box pickup and put my 1970 Body on the 4WD Chassis. My question is What years Chevy Pickup Chassis Can I use to have a direct bolt on. I am low on cash so I need to know what years to ask the local junk yard owner.

what sort or modifications would a 75 to 79 or early 80's body need.

From what I understand, you need to relocate body mounts. Several people on here have done it. Have you tried a search?

The wheelbase is longer on 73-87's by about 6 inches. The easiest way to do it is use a Longhorn box.
