How about a mini '72? Crazy japanese!
A vintage Chevy C/K pickup is a bit unpractical to own in Japan, so you can have Dream Factory Blow convert your Mazda Spiano kei wagon into a replica like this one. This is one of a number of kits that Blow offers to convert kei cars into classic American trucks and vans. I love it

Very cool. I'd commute with it.

With a cb antenna on the roof that would look like a giant r/c car.

Re: How about a mini '72? Crazy japanese!
That looks way cooler than the SUV's, or whatever they were, that were posted on here before. Any shots of the rear?
As long as I could actually fit comfortably in it, I'd roll it!

Someone needs to chop the top on that blue one a little to make it look right. Other than that, where can I get one of those?

Now those are just cuter than a basket of spotted pups. Probably not legal for the street in this country though.

Re: How about a mini '72? Crazy japanese!
There's many ways around that. If you ship the car and engine separate into the US you can get around customs. After that, titling varies by state. But in TX there are several imported Skylines and other various JDM performance cars that are street legal.

And right hand drive to boot. You can't get much cooler than that for a grocery getter.I agree that they probably aren't legal in the US but I wouldn't want to drive one if they were. Can you imagine meeting Soccer mom on her phone in her Sub when you wer in one of those?

Re: How about a mini '72? Crazy japanese!
i'd love to have one just to take to shows, is it maybe small enough to ride around at the fairground/dragstrips. i would'nt care it it is'nt street legal in the US, i'd pimp the hell out of it at the racetrack.

I don't know....the mirrors are wrong.
Seriously, wouldn't it be nice with an RX-8 engine in it?

Re: How about a mini '72? Crazy japanese!
shave that huge hole in the cowl, add a cowl hood, shave the front marker lights or add rear ones, change the mirrors and wheels and that would be an awsome little toy or daily driver. And can anyone say ls-1 swap?

Can we get a groupbuy on these? That would be funny and sad to see in my garage all at the same time.

I don't think they look bad. A set of bullet mirrors would be a better look though. Or peeps. Shoot, peeps would probably fit better just because of their scale. |
