67' Cab Question (kinda long)
Ok guys I searched the threads and cant really find the answer I was looking for..... I want to know if its possible to identify what year a cab is. Let me explain a little better, I bought a 67' K10 pickup before I knew of this forum and was only modertly educated in the 67-72's, after being a part of this forum im on the path to much knowledge, anyway the truck has a 67' front end (doesnt mean much) the cab has the small rear window, but it also has a dome light and the vent on the drivers side door pillar. I assume these were just added to teh cab for some reason (damn PO's) what do you guys think? The cab doesnt have the ID tag on the glove box door, I only have the VIN to go on (I assume that is worthless for this question). Any other ID points? Thanks

Re: 67' Cab Question (kinda long)
If it has the small rear window then it is a 67 or very early 68 cab.

Re: 67' Cab Question (kinda long)
Look on the top of the cab, there should be a raised area that the rear view mirror attaches to.
Another tell tell sign besides the small window is the placement of the vin tag itself. Should be two seperate plates located on the driverside door opening.

Ok thanks guys, I will look at those signs and confirm. I thought the rear window confirmed it, but you never know.

Re: 67' Cab Question (kinda long)
I think the only year they use the raised area for the rear view was 71. Small rear window pretty much nails it.

Re: 67' Cab Question (kinda long)
Yeah my 67's, 70's, 72 and my buddy's 69 do not have a raised place for the rearview mirror, so you can't tell by that. Small window is the way to tell also the emergency brake handle is for 67-68.
