i have a few questions about sleeve bags.

*does anyone have f9000's on the back of their fullsize suvs(ie k5s burbs tahoes) not in addition to the leafs but as the only wieght supporting item in the rear? if so hows the ride? what psi? pics of dumped and ride heights would help.

* can i directly replace a standard double covoluted bag, such as a slam re7, with a sleeve bag? are the bolt patterns the same?

what came to mind was to simplify my plan for the rear of my blazer. it is going to get a tri 4 link with bags over the axle outside the frame. originally it was going to get a bag on bar setup, but i dont see it working without me having to redo the rear flooor again.

You cannot simply swap a sleeve bag out for a convoluted The bolt pattern and port placement is different on the top. They are also a different height, and you do not want to set the weight of the vehicle on them when they are fully compressed. You need a bump stop. I have run them on a fullsize truck (no pictures) and it rode great. Had to unbolt the bags and shocks to change the tires though.

Firestone recently came out with an F9200 sleeve bag that gets about 10 inches of travel, and can support a bit more weight, and it is not as expensive as the 11" travel billet 9100.

Sleeve bags don't require much PSI. About 50-60 and they are fully inflated, but they require more air volume than a convoluted bag.

with the setup i was going to run, i could just switch them out because i was going to make a second mounting point for the shocks. the ride height change is what i was going for.about 2-3" off the ground with double convo's for shows and cruise nights, and about 8-10" off the ground with sleeves and a spacer for everyday driving. i believe i can make second mounting point for the shocks to make it work, or buy a second pair of shocks.
i was planning to put a spacer on the bottom, but a spacer/adapter above the bag would work i think.

The bolts on the top are closer to each other, and the port is closer to the bolts. A universal bag plate could be ovaled out a bit more to make it work.

thats ok. thats about what i want at ride hieght in the rear. thanks for the pic. i figure ill be about 3-4" off from laying in the rear, so i should have better clearences than you. im just worried about things like changing a flat or blowing a line and making it safety. ive had a fitting fail on my bodydropped fullsize. sucked really bad to fix.

If you're baseline is going to be 3-4" higher in the rear, then my "full lift" should be close to what you had in mind for ride height.

I might add that my sleeve bags ride great.
