65 titled as a 63
I was just wondering how everyone felt about trucks titled with the incorrect year. I am building a truck and the 63 cab is too much to repair and the 65 only needs the common patch panels. I have a good ohio title for the 63 and the frame is basicly done. What would you do in this situation.

Re: 65 titled as a 63
I'm pretty sure my 66 is largely a 64 (fender badges and rear end code match 64, vin tag is 66, frame # is a mystery) - mine won't be anywhere near original with the updates anyway; with yours, the cab design is noticeably different from 65-63, but unless you're worried about it being a pure original restoration, it's your call.

Re: 65 titled as a 63
There was a thread on this just a month or two ago. Basicly you need to talk with the tag agency and get info on it. Each state is different. Our state says you need both titles to do that and they will marry them together. The cabs are to different for you to pass off. As much as I don't like cops they all are not stupid. Good luck.

Re: 65 titled as a 63
Find a good 60-63 Cab. I am afraid that if you where to put the 66' cab on the 63' frame and title as a 63' it would hurt your investment on all aspects. Not to mention it could jeopardize your ownership. I think it would be much easier to deal with it at this stage rather than later. JM2 cents
