It may not make it to craigslist….

-
This is quite a story.
A friend of mine called me last night and wondered if I would be interested in putting a truck on craigslist for his ex-son in law. The guy is in prison for dealing drugs and needs some money, so he wants to sell the truck and a car he owns. So this morning I throw the trusty digital in the truck and head to his house to take some pics. We go over to where the vehicles are stored and take some pics of the truck. They moved it outside a couple of days ago because they needed to get a fork truck in the building. It has some mods a few people might not like but overall it is a really nice truck. It had a body off about 15 years ago and needs some freshening up and the seat re-done but all you really need to do is just jump in and drive it off…. I'm waiting for the owner's son to call me with the info and price. If my buddy understood correctly what the owner wants for the truck it may not make it to craigslist….

After I finished with the truck we walked over to the building where the car was stored. Keep in mind my buddy knew all the time what the "car" was but he never said a word. He wanted to see the look on my face. Here it is… Think 427, 4 speed…. Sorry about the pics but there wasn't much room as you can see…

Dang Leon! There's nothing to think about. You have to buy them both. Who wouldn't want either of them?

Re: It may not make it to craigslist….

Whow! what a truck and it's from Oregon too! wonder what part ?
The vette is older than a 75 that is for sure as it's a convertable and it has it looks like front and rear bumpers to go back on it .that would make it a 72 or older,,.I'll guess a 72

Keep us up to date in the truck ,,very interesting story ..

I can't see enough of it to pin it down, but it is a '63 - '67. If the 427 is stock, I think that started in '66.

Thumbs up Re: It may not make it to craigslist….

As I started reading, I noticed you are in Iowa... then I saw the Oregon plates on the truck. Hmmmmmm. The first pic of the car nearly took my breath away. I have owned two (a '65 and a '66) and I recognized it instantly.

Somebody is gonna be very happy....

I can see why it/they may not make it to craigslist!

If it were possible, I'd be all over it/them like white on rice, cold on ice, & dots on dice.

The truck has Iowa plates but the owner put it in storage. (to do that you have to turn the plates in to the county, temporarily)

It may be an acquired taste..... While I kinda like the newest ones, I never cared much for any others aside from the mid-years ('63-'67). Oh, a nice '57 would be just fine too...

I agree, but that would bring in some sweet money if it was #'s matching. Sweet find

I'd like to roll that in a Barrett Jackson Auction and see what kind of money it brought as is.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
