Spark Plug Wire Help?
I have a 71 with the 350. Its converted over to the HEI but I have the older style manifolds where the plugs go under the manifold. I am trying to change my wires out but cant seem to find what I need anywhere. I need a 90 degree boot to plug into the HEI and i need straight boots that are at least 2 inches long to plug into the spark plugs. Anyone know the brand and possible year for the wires im looking for? The parts store has ordered about 4 different pairs so far with no luck!

Re: Spark Plug Wire Help?
i've always used taylor wires they have about any kind you can imagine but you need to cut and fit and install the dizzy ends yourself// easy to do if you take your time ,they include the tool for attaching the ends// summit, speedway motors, jegs all carry them

Re: Spark Plug Wire Help?
Advance sales the Accel 8mm wires that are a direct fit. Ninty degree HEI boot and straight plug boots that can be angled.

Re: Spark Plug Wire Help?
I bought a set of Taylor wires also. They are 90 degree at the spark plug. I ran the front two on each side between the motor mount and engine block, then made a little bracket to hold them near the oil pan rail. the rear two on each side have a plug wire separator on them. Then finished each end at the HEI. The distributor ends can be a bear to slip over the wire. I used a bit of liquid soap on the boot and the wire to help with this. They are nice and neat, look great

Re: Spark Plug Wire Help?
Mid/late 70's Corvette with ramhorn style manifolds. If you want to run the wires properly under the engine and through the motor mounts this is what you need.
I picked up a MSD set online but I would think all the major players make similar sets. This is the set I got but I didn't get them from them if I remember right. http://www.partsamerica.com/productd...e=5004&PTSet=A They show to be for a 77 350 Corvette. |

Re: Spark Plug Wire Help?
You want some 75 Vette 350 HEI plug wires. Got mine at NAPA. Forget the p/n. Here's a pic of how they run. You can get the plug wire retainers from about any of the venders on the board.
