Re: front end swap question
as far as cleaning , what i've done in the past is scrape the heavy stuff off , get some gunk engine degreaser and hit with a power washer . if you dont have a power washer hit the local car wash with a pocket full of quarters.
when i've done this i still usually have a very light coating of dirt that can be knocked off with steel wool or a wire brush . then use laquer thinner or some other solvent to wipe it down and get the residue off .

Re: front end swap question
The 79 control arms will bolt up to your crossmember.. I used 75 control arms. Here are just about the only pictures I have for now. I have energy suspension bushings and new ball joints to put in.

Re: front end swap question
Doesn't matter for the front. If your rear is coil also, you will need rears for a 60-72 coil spring application.

Re: front end swap question
I used the springs from the 75 with drop spindles. I think the later model springs are about an inch shorter then the 64. I am not sure about this though.
I remember this. After 4 years of driving is what the last pictures were of.
