Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
Just wondering about the value of Chevrolet trucks and GMC trucks, is there a difference in value?

Well. For some reason most buyers like Chevy grills.
I personally like them all.

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
As a 67-72 gm truck fan, I would have to say I like them both, but if I were
to buy another GMC the first thing I would do is to change the front clip to a 67-68 or 71-72 chevy ,,,, they just look a lot better |

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
Geeee...I like the 69-70 bowtie. I prefere Chevy but if my 70cst that I found back in 2000 was an equally loaded GMC...I would have bought it. As been said...it is preference.

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
In my opinion, the GM two light headlight system doesn't look as good as the Chevy one light system. It's kinda like the 67 - 69 Camaro and the 67 - 69 Firebird. The Camaro is way more desireable than the Firebird. Has something to do with the differences in the front end. Same here. With that said, it comes down to opportunity and preference.

I like both styles and would pay according to what I believe the truck is worth, I am not too much into name brands.

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
I have 1 each. Paid about the same for each 1.
For me, it just comes down to a couple of things: Do I like the way it's equipped? Do I think the price is "reasonable"? Other than that, it doesn't really matter a whole lot. Just my .02.

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
You know with the Big 3 having all their problems, one of the thoughts is that GM will do away with the GMC Truck line. If so, I would think the lettered trucks would become more valuable.
But for right now, I'm sticking with my bowtie.

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
I've had both but prefer the '67-68 f.e. ...given equal trucks.
To me, it makes the snout look less bulky than a GMC and combined with the sloped hood, blends better with the trucks sleek lines. It also resembles the same year Chevelles which, IMHO were the nicest looking cars GM ever built sans the old Corvettes. Value wise, I don't think the word "classic GM truck" will be any more universal than the '67-68 Chevy and thier value will probably continue to reflect that. ...all in all..I love em all! Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
The only GMC I would actively search out to buy would be a '67 swb fleet truck, BUT if I found two trucks, EXACTLY the same, same color, trim options, engine, tranny, options, etc... on a year to year comparison, I would probably go with the Chevy version and pay a tad more for it.

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
As a GM hauler fanatic I think they`re all equal and you can just pic what you want.I`ve had them all.I wouldn`t change one around unless I was building it rom scratch.I`m building GMCs from scratch these days. It`s the same with the GM cars for me.

Re: Which would you pay more for, Chev or GMC?
I have 1 chevy ---a 68 longhorn and 2 gmcs one of them a 68 3/4 ton, the other a 69 1 ton dually (used to be a class B). I would have to say I prefer the GMC. For some reason to me they always seem to have more beef to them, can't explain it. I have been taking them apart and rebuilding them for 30 years and know they are just about identical.
