Re: Is my truck a 50th?

if the engine is original, it's more than likely a 327. your vin starts with "ce" which signifies an eight cylinder.

Re: Is my truck a 50th?

You need the right paint codes on your glovebox label. I think it is 551 gold and ivory. You should have the gold visors and dash pad i believe. I am sure there is more if i am wrong that people will add. Eric

too much stuff has it right...look for the 551 paint code on your SPID on the glove box door. It would say IVORY/GOLD if it was built in Fremont and other factories might have called it GOLD/WHITE or OFF WHITE. I have only seen Fremont built Anniversary trucks on the West Coast.

Gold sunvisors and dash pad usually survive.

Re: Is my truck a 50th?

greygoose...if it is not a 50th Anniversary truck...somebody went to alot of trouble to make it look like one. 551 on the glove box door is the only way to tell for sure. Judging by the bench seat material and the horn button, I would say it is also a Custom Comfort and Appearance Option.

Re: Is my truck a 50th?

Here is my pickup . Are all 68 with this color scheme the 50th anniversary? I am wondering if mine 68 c20 is one also. It is gold and white from factory as well as showing paint code endding 551 ivory/gold on glove box door. It has been repainted. also lists No spin differential on sticker and has a No spin decal on door. Truck had emblems at top edge of doors but holes have been welded as seen from inside. I am considering converting to shortbed 1/2 ton and lowering it.
