C10 vs C20 automatic driveshaft differences ???
Need a spare driveshaft for our 1970 LWB C10. Need one to shorten the front half 3/4 inch for a tranny swap, and want to save the old one. It uses the common TH350/3 speed V8 length shaft. We have a 1972 LWB C20 parts truck, V8, TH350 that is burried with about 3 feet of snow around it right now.
I am pretty sure it uses the same style small hanger bearing, and that the front half of the shaft would be the same. I am thinking that the rear half may have a different size rear U joint or the rear length may be different because of the Eaton rear end. Anyone know for sure ? I don't want to freeze my rear off and dig through snow just to find out it won't work. Thanks.
