Spindle help

Hi I am new to this site and I have a question about lowering spindles . I got a set of 2 in drop spindles from a friend and was told they were off of a 72 chevy truck . I installed them and went to attach the outer tie rods and the hole in the tie rod attaching point is way to big for my tie rods. I went to the parts store and we pulled a couple of tie rods and the only ones that i saw that would fit were from a 73 chevy but the shaft was to big for the adjusting sleeve . They didnt have the 72 tie rods . Can anyone tell me the differences between the tie rod size . They are DJM spindles Thanks Tim

Re: Spindle help

You have 73-87 spindles. An easy solution is to convert to 73-87 steeping linkage, adjuster sleeves, and tie rod ends.

Re: Spindle help

I always just run 73-87 from side to side, center link and all.

Re: Spindle help

One of the site vendors sells a sleeve that is a different size on both ends, if you want to do as little work as possible. It is made for what you are doing.
