Am i missing something?

Ok first off, i am not knocking anything in this thread...

ok..i was surfing ebay when i came across these on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-6...Q5fAccessories

they are NOS hood hinges. They are at 125.00, is this more of that oh i gotta have NOS craze or are they that hard to find, they dont look to bad, but i would have never thought something like hood hinges would bring that amount of coin, thanx

Re: Am i missing something?

I can't say that I have seen any NOS hood hinges before...and I am on EBay ALOT. I guess they are really appealing to a factory correct restorer, but personally I don't see that cost being worth while for me. Just my $0.02. However, when I looked at it, there were 6 bids, so they are important to somebody.

Re: Am i missing something?

No worse than the thread with a (BUZZER ONLY) for a speed warning speedo. It was at $198.45 last I saw it.
It might be correct for a truck and it may not be. I myself got a seat buzzer out of a late model for $1.00.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Am i missing something?

not a bad price at all when you consider that GM still offers them for @ $80 for one side and @ $60 for the other.

Re: Am i missing something?

This is a good example why "research" is so important when buying parts. Also NOS may not always be the best way to go. JMHO
