well darn. og or custom
well darn.... i decide to restore my blazer. rust in the usual no biggie. under the hood is bone stock. I was told the engin was also the original. so I go into this with restore to original. now things have shanged. I find out that the damn engine is not original. its from a 73 . head are 487x they could be original. but now i dont know if I want to deal with a resto if its not all origninal. so maybe I should just go with mild custom....any ideas

Re: well darn. og or custom
All depends on what you enjoy more. Personally, I am fine with a "resto-mod". In other words, it has a original factory feel but is by now means 100% originally correct. Things would be changed and updated as you see fit. Picture yourself cruizing on a nice summer (or spring, beings you are from Bryan) day and and ask yourself which one you would rather be driving. Just my $0.02.

Re: well darn. og or custom
Build it to suit yourself, all original is very difficult and $$$
Resto-mod is cool... Got any pics??

Re: well darn. og or custom
You could build it so it looks original, but make the engine more drivable with injection, etc.

Re: well darn. og or custom
UHHH, I'd stay as close to OE as possible that is a pretty nice CST Blazer, the matching #'s motor in these is really not any kind of a deduction in price, build it the way you want it, but the Med Olive Green is super sweet, i'd stay with that color if it was mine, but it's not so?? It looks like one heck of a start!! Slap some Vortec heads on it and get a decent 350hp out of the motor and drive the tires off of it!!
