Powder coating questions
This week I dropped off my inner wheel tubs, upper/ Lower hood latch, Serpentine Mount. The guy tried to talk me out of having the inner tubs powder coated. Claims that it will not be glossy black it will be almost flat. That it is the quality of the metal that doesn't gloss up like other stuff. Will probally get my stuff back in a week or so will follow up on how it looks.
But has anyone powder coated high Gloss black on their inner front fenders? Were you happy with the outcome? Any pics? Thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Powder coating questions
I don't know why he told you that? I powdercoat all of my own stuff and the only problem I have had is with the powder that is used. If all the right temps and times are followed by the powder provider it will turn whatever color they say it is. The only other thing maybe is his prep, that I could think of. I have found a very good powder and have not had any problems since.

Re: Powder coating questions
Same here. I get my powder from PBTP and my gloss black is darn sure glossy. I don't care if I coat a Monster can or a carriage bolt, the shine is impressive.

Re: Powder coating questions
The work I have seen so far has been outstanding looks good. Said the last ones he re-coated but he wasn't impressed personally. See how this turns out this week or next.
