tank selector valve
The valve and the switch to change tanks is on the fritz my problem is i cant seem to find it anywhere to buy it. I thought LMC or classic industries would have it in their catalogs but i dont see it anywhere. Please let me know where i can find it and how much i should be spending on the piece and the switch, which i believe to have seen on another post for about 12 bucks. Thanks alot for any info.

Re: tank selector valve
I don't remember exactly where but I went through some Bio-diesle web sites and found the 6 port valve for mine. I bought one for my 86 dual tank truck and it looks identical. Comes w/a short wire harness w/the same pin connector as whats on my truck. My problem was w/the switch. It now sits in the golve box and will probably change out this summer. Price was good too if I remember correctly.

Re: tank selector valve
i messed with the wiring a bit and got the truck running but i dont want that problem to keep coming back and biting me in the a$$ so i just want to either find a new one or just get a used one that ultimately might go bad soon too...

Re: tank selector valve
If you're in a pinch you can bypass the valve and run off one tank too. Make sure the return line is hooked up right so the fuel goes to the tank you are using or you will be filling the one that is not in use. Its kinda strange when your milage sucks and the tank you never put gas in starts leaking

Re: tank selector valve
any part store can get this. It is a pretty common part. I have gotten them from Autozone, NAPA and Advanced Auto Parts.
