Burning rubber on the CST10!

After ironing out most of the kinks this past few weeks, it's time to burn off the barely legal tire:

Tread life, what tread life?

The burn outs got a bit less big because I could feel that tire falling apart in the cab when you get that soft axle hop and see chunks of rubber, you know it's time to get on home. Didn't want to sit and change a tire while the smoke is still rolling across the streets. It sucked though that the 1st set shot by my brother were shaking like an addict.

Good fun though! It is possible to grab third gear. Sometimes it will do a posi burn out, but I couldn't get it to for video.

Hit up the YT page and watch in high quality, as normal YT killed the video

"Sometimes it will do a posi burn out"
This is because your spider gears are starting to fuse together...next you'll see your right rear tire sticking out about a foot. Not good my man! New chunks are $$$

Im assuming you have a 3.07 open rearend. When you burn up those gears throw in a little 3.73 posi action...that'll take the punishment

4.10sih gears with a Dana 60. Not hugely worried about busting e-clips, their some tough axles. I just figure it's either A)Dumb circumstances or B) a very worn posi. The few times it has done it posi-style there were no negative effects before or afterwards(infact were the 1st few done in the truck), drives on home just fine.

Great video but I don't think that I would post the portion with your license plate clearly visible

I'm not worried. My local cops would hunt down the street racers before hunting down a truck doing burnouts on some back streets.

Re: Burning rubber on the CST10!

My does the same exact thing, sometimes it will do a complete posi burnout and sometimes it will spin them both and then end up doing one towards the end and sometimes it'll just do one

Im not sure what it is either

Neat video...reminds me of my younger days. Didn't you know that smoking causes health problems for your truck. BTW...it's good to see your truck on the road and your headlights are .

My truck loves smoking, it's a healthy regiment I have. 1 burn out a day keeps the tread away.
