Anybody got any of these lug covers laying around?
I bought some wheels a while back for a good price. My objective was just to do a little better than the factory steel wheels that are currently on the truck.
I ended up with standard 7" rallies off a 95 truck. The center caps are there and beautiful, but I need some of these caps: Click here for the caps I know I'll need different lug nuts for my 1/2 x 20 lug bolts, but I'm more concerned with finding caps right now. The nuts I can get on Ebay. Anyone know a vendor who has them?

Rick, you should still be able to get these from your friendly (possibly overpriced) local Chevy or GMC dealer. jim

God, Guts and Guns made America and God, Guts and Guns will preserve it! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose. |

Re: Anybody got any of these lug covers laying around?
Rick1956,
Not many people know that the Chevy Astro van and GMC equivalent used 1/2 inch studs for several years .The first few years of production used 1/2 in studs before they switched to metric . I do not know if there are any salvage yards close to you but it might be worth a trip since many had the lugnuts you would need with the threads for the lug covers . You might get lucky enough to find one with lugs, covers, and caps . Take a 1/2 inch lug with you and you can check the studs instantly . Frank

Re: Anybody got any of these lug covers laying around? UPDATE
I happened to be at a local junkyard (AAA Auto Wrecking in Kent, Washington) getting some tires switched at their tire shop yesterday. The tire shop is a separate entity on the same grounds, and, believe it or not, is owned and operated by a woman. She knew her business well and was was working her butt off.
To make a long story short, she gave me a baggie of those lug nut covers! She would have given me a 20 lug nuts too if she had any that were 1/2" 20 thread, but alas they were all metric. This was after she only charged me $40 to swap 4 tires onto different rims, balancing and tax included. She deserves a high five!
