Another junkyardin' thread

Here's the story...I stopped by this guy's place two years ago and looked around a bit. He mentioned that he had another property and that he'd take me there sometime. I've been by a couple times in the last two years but haven't connected. Well he was home today, so I got to poke around both properties. The second property was so far in the hills I started wondering if I was ever coming back and wishing I had a sidearm

Anyhow, he has about 200 vehicles, mostly trucks and some chevelles, novas and such. This is his personal property and vehicles, not a business. Since I know you guys so well, I asked if he would mind being contacted by outside sources. He does not mind, but does not want to mess with parts, he wants to sell whole vehicles. SO, if you really just need to know where it is, then PM me and I'll give you directions. Beyond that you're on your own.

Sorry for the cell phone pics, I wasn't prepared. Enjoy!

Re: Another junkyardin' thread

I'd love to have that much stuff...Maybe title laws are different there, but in Ohio i think you would need a dealers license to have that many vehicles. I'd hate to figure out which title went to which truck when someone wants to buy one of them.

Funny you mentioned that, I asked him about titles. He says he has some in hand and two relatives working in the title offices (one local and one state). Claimed titles are not a problem. Things that make you go hmmmm....

yes, that's a 63-66 shorty. I need to get a closer look at it. I didn't leave with anything today but I'm going back tomorrow for a seat. I am swapping him out plus cash to keep the truck complete.

Now those are some nice iron. The ones I took the other day were way past repair but these look like drivers. Man I wish stuff was that nice around here.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Another junkyardin' thread

That white 71 or 72 Pontiac Ventura in the last set of pics is somewhat rare. Not too many of them around, They became alittle more common in 73.

No but judging by the price on a chevelle I'm trying to buy he's got Barrett Jackson syndrome.

Re: Another junkyardin' thread

Anyone that has that many projects is probably not realistic on pricing, the funny thing about those guys is that they hoard those, thinking one day they will be millionaires, and by the time they become valuable they have sat out in the elements so long they are junk. Then they get mad because nobody will " pay" top dollar........cars usually just sit and rot until they die and their kids sell 'em for scrap. Sad, sad, sad
