Ready for the long ride to oldirons place

Loaded up the K10 today for the trip to oldirons place. He is the new owner. Should get it done next weekend sometime. This truck is the longest Ive owned any vehicle, so its a little weird letting her go. She is going to get some long needed tender loving care at his place though, so its a good thing. Ill be dragging home the 41 Caddy from oldirons. Not sure when Ill get a chance to do anything with it. My priority is to keep plugging away on the panel until its on the road.

I really need to remember to keep my camera with me...cell phone pics just dont cut it.

Re: Ready for the long ride to oldirons place

CG I couldn't wait any more and went out and bought a 72 4x4 Blazer.
The only problem it came in pieces and all in a box.
And it will be harder to put together than the 71.
By the way its only 25 miles to get here from the farm.
PS. Its a model.

Re: Ready for the long ride to oldirons place

Really?....it sure seems longer than that considering how far out in the boonies you are. Still takes close to an hour to get there...Takes 20 minutes just to get out of Monroe with all the traffic.

But you always come out in the dark. It takes us 40 minutes to get to the fair grounds going the back roads. Snohomish, Machis, up 92 to the Co-op then 6 miles down Burn road.
I was scared last weekend when you were putting the 71 away that you were going to have second thoughts with look on your face when I snapped this picture.

I'm sneaking over there now to put a chain and padlock on it now.
By the way thanks for getting it ready to deliver. I really do appreciate it.

Sad to see the old ogre go. I'd love to put a 67-72 body on my 84 frame.
