Heat
Hello everyone, well it's gettin kinda chilly up here in PA, and I have a slight heating problem i thinkg. I have AC but it is not hooked up.... and I have heat blowing out the defroster vents which is pretty darn warm. No complaints there. The problem is that cooler air is blowing out the center AC vent and the other 2 AC vents as well. It keeps the truck warm, but never ROASTING hot. I think if i could find why the air is cooler in the AC vents the problem would be solved. I just recently replaced my heater control unit due to some broken levers. . Thanks a ton for the help... The truck is a 1972. Cliff

I would suggest taking apart your heater box, etc. and checking the flaps and cables, etc., and give it a good cleaning. Not uncommon to find leaves and other assorted things that have made it into the works. Good luck!

check to make sure your hoses are hooked up to the mounting flanges ok........just trying to keep topic ttt.

Heat?
You didn't say anything about what it does when you have it on heat. FLOOR does it have hot are warm air. If it doesn't get hot I would suggest looking at your cables and making sure they are all working correctly, that they open are close all the way. Also check the flapper doors to make sure they are working right. The vacuum hoses are hooked up right. Hope this helps.

One thing to check on old flappers is sometimes the rod moves but the flapper does'nt because its so loose.
