Re: VIV where to find on the Frame???
Honestly, looking at the pics that appears to be a standard 1/2 or 3/4 ton frame with channel welded to the top part of the frame to beef it up. I may be wrong, but my guess is that someone wanted a dually and swapped in the front suspension and the rearend and then beefed the frame up to match.
On second look, does the extra frame height end at the cab? I'm thinking that may actually be part of the dually frame that the suspension came from, cut and welded to the top of the original frame, if so. Just my $.02. Good luck with it!

Re: VIN where to find on the Frame???
That looks to me like it was not originally a 1 ton. To my knowledge 1 tons did not come with coil springs in the rear. The shape of the rear of the frame doesn't look like the frame on my '66 C30, it looks more like a C20 frame. The channel on top of the frame that TimE spoke of, was most likely done in the mounting of the bed that was on it.
Let us know what you find out on the frame VIN
