BBC Parts

I have a virgin bore 396 2 bolt block from a 66 Impala SS396.

Has surface rust from sitting in my shed but nothing that wont clean up easily. I hit one cyl with the hone and all surface rust came right off easily. Block has all main caps.

Also have a set of rods, and Closed chamber, 96cc BBC heads without valves.
Casting numbers on the block and heads are,

3855961 on the block

3872702 and 3904390 on the heads

Heads are from a 66 427

I was told by two machine shops that this block had enough material to bore to a 427 as GM used the same block for the 396 and 427 in 66.

I also have new lifters, timing chain, oil pump and bearings that go with it.

Asking $600 for everything but dont be afraid to make offers.
LMK if my price is out of line.

will trade for multiple things as I need alot of stuff for my project. Just let me know what you are wanting to trade.

Thanks --Josh

You might be suprised what I'd take for this stuff. Need wood bed parts, rust free fenders, doors, etc...

Re: BBC Parts

Sure. Unfortunately the heads are the most valuable part of this set-up. Would like to sell together but will seperate. Looking to trade something? Thanks

Re: BBC Parts

It is worth it as a complete engine, I just can't afford to ship it all! The heads will only be able $30 shipped so I may just do that unless you come from NC to AZ to buy some rust free sheetmetal?!

Re: BBC Parts

I'd love to get out there but it'll probably not be for a long while. Feel free to make an offer on the heads.

Re: BBC Parts

All parts are in Wake Forest NC Everything I have is listed in first post. Block, bare heads, rods, lifters, timing chain, oil pump, oil pan, etc. plus whatever wlse I can find for it. I dont know the best way to ship something so heavy. Would probably be expensive. Would love to trade parts or sell outright, what do you have in mind?
