Smile Project Betty has begun ...

Today in the Morning i've begun with my Project , her Name is Betty . It's a '71 LWB C10 with some GMC Parts . Betty has a 350 SBC with a 600 Edelbrock , Weiand Intake and Headers . Runs great ! Someone have cut the Coils in Front , it's too deep for these bad Roads here . Chrome is lousy , Paint too .

Some Pic's :

All in all the Truck is in a good Condition i think . Let's start it !

Nice looking truck! How long have you had it and how did it get way over their? When I was in Germany I sure don't remember seeing any C10's cruising around. I am seeing a C5 ZR1 conversion in its future so you can get out and play with the big boys

Re: Project Betty has begun ...

Thank you Guys ! Yes , it is not the best Moment to start a Project , but the Truck isn'n Street legal here . My Goal is to finish until June . At the Moment i can't drive , cause i dont have Licence Plates for her . The Inspector of the german "TÜV" won't gave his Blessing for Exhaust , Front Drop and the Steering Wheel .
In 1991 the Truck came to Germany , i bought her as late as 2 Weeks ago .
The Frame is in good Condition , but some Bodyparts are rusty . Motor and Tranny (TH400) runs great . I'm not sure about the Color ... the red is nice , but i like that Two Tone Look . Maybe Candy Black with Pearl White .
Yesterday i removed the Bed Rails , they were glued and screwed .

Re: Project Betty has begun ...

It was a cold and rainy Day , but no Problem with a tasty Drink and good Music ! I've tried to remove the Paint on the Inside of the Bed and Tailgate . It's not easy with a Scraper , very persistant . I've found out that the Truck was red , orange , brown , black and blue .
