8 lug front disc brakes?

I want to keep my 8 lug pattern on my 66 C20. Is there any way to use drop spindles and maintain the 8 lug up front?

Re: 8 lug front disc brakes?

you should be able to get a set up for a 73-87 , and switch out the discs like they do on the 1/2 tons.
I know that runninlow was talking about puttingdropped spindles on his 73-87 1 ton...
maybe the same deal for a 3/4ton?

Re: 8 lug front disc brakes?

I agree with jon it should be simply a matter of swapping in the newer 3/4 ton stuff. I can assume that similar issues would arise such as proper ball joints but I don't know of any reason why 72+ control arms and disc spindles, hubs, calipers couldn't be used.
