Re: Hangin' it up
SORRY GUYS!!!
Didn't mean to stir up a hornets nest, or step on any toes, and I sure am not trying to use this as a "for sale" thread. I am just curious about any and all experiences with selling trucks and parts. I have been buying for years and now I am going to sell. It seems to me, from reading some of the posts on here, that some of the trucks I have written off as junk might be a candidate for restoration to someone else. I don't know whether to list as parts trucks, strip for parts, call them "excellent candidates for show" or somewhere in between. I this is not O.K., lock it again. Thanks. I have registered to post for sale ads, and will do so, this thread is just a query for advice. Papa Smurf

Re: Hangin' it up
you're a subscribed member now, so you are good to go.
I would say spend a few hrs on the parts board, see what things are selling for, then maybe look over e-bay for a bit, and price acordingly. Some of the parts that you thought were junk, but are useable to others, you WILL need to ship, and that makes things a real pain in the 12 bolt. Price things high and put OBO if you aren't quite sure. If you put a $100 part up for 50 bucks, it'll sell instantly, but once it sells, you have a contract. Here's some more good tips from the board owner; http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...nt.php?f=3&a=8 |

Re: Hangin' it up
Only you can determine what to do with them. If you have alot of time and don't mind messing with shipping, usually parting is your best bet. If it is something rare, try to sell complete first. Good luck. Eric

I think every one should subscribe. I did it because I felt like I was stealing on here with how much I was learning for free. I have never learned so much so fast about anything.
