Ign cyl

Lost the keys to the ign,any easy ideas on how to get the ign cyl out w/o
having a key to turn it while pushing in on the release pin

Just come here to Detroit and ask any guy on any given corner and I'm sure they can help you out...

Seriously though, I'm assuming you're avoiding calling a locksmith?

Take the passenger side door lock out and take it to a locksmith. There should be a code # stamped into the door lock and he can make a key from that code # that will fit the ignition. If you don't have a locksmith close you can PM me the code number and I will make a key and send it to you. The cost would be 5 bucks shipped.... The code number would be similar to the one in the picture.

This works only if the locks are are original or were all replaced at the same time.

If you have a locksmith come to your place and make a key it will probably be $45 minimum.

thx leon
i did a frame up restro on this truck back in 97 and all the cyl's were replaced
at the same time.this truck has been in storage for the last 5 years.
i have a new ign cyl and switch already that i got from my ac/delco dist for
23.00.
i will ck my
door cyl this weekend and let you know,otherwise i will just drill
out the ign cyl so i can remove it from the bezel

If you aren't worried about the cylinder try peeling the stainless off of the front of it. Sometimes the bezel will unscrew if you get that off.
