I'm buying a 67 LWB C10 today. It has an over the cab camper on it that I want to take off. Unfortunately it doesn't come with the necessary polls to store the camper. I don't know if I'm going to keep the camper or not but was wondering where I can find the necessary equipment to remove the camper. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Also, I just found this board 2 days ago. I browse several f-body forums but this is my first truck forum. Just as I expected there is a lot of usefull info here for me and my new toy. Great board guys. Todd |

Welcome to the board From CA. If the camper is worth saving buy the pole jacks at RV sales place or if not worth saving you could bolt A 2X4 at each corner with lags park preferably on level ground the 2X4 should be touching the ground at all four corners then you could let enough air out of the tires to driveout from under the camper. Im sure there are other ways, also depends on how much the thing ways. Good luck!

Welcome! Keep that slide in camper, and try to get pics of it on the truck if you can. That would be neat if it's a vintage camper.

howdy from IL. find a freind or relative or drive around till you find a slide-in camper in the neiborehood mabey they'll let you use their jacks for an hour. take your camper off then set it on blocks and take the jacks back. those jacks are expensive to buy, if your only gonna use them once why bother. If you decide to keep the camper later on check every 2nd hand store for a set. I think the guy that sold me my slide-in told me he spent 300 bucks on the jacks (I bought the camper for 100) IMHO. dave

Thanks for the info and the welcome. I was wrong on the year, it's a 71. The guy didn't know what it was. I'll have to look for some used/cheap camper jacks. I'll get some pic's when I get back from Ohio.
