83' C-10 oil light staying on!!

Hello everyone, newbe here! Lets get right to it. I have an '83 Chevy C-10 with a Goodwrench 350 engine (98'), 1/2 ton, 2wd.
Last week, the oil light came on. I stopped, checked oil level, restarted engine for a few seconds to listen, and only heard slightly more noise from the rockers than usual.
I changed the sending unit to no avail, so I replaced the pump, also to no avail!! The light is still on! When I remove the oil cap to look at the one rocker and valve that I can see, there is no oil sloshing around. HELP!!
My brother-in-law/A.S.E. mechanic, thinks that a cam bearing might've spun.
Haven't yet checked pressure with a gauge.
Thanks for any insight.

Welcome from Weatherford. I'd hook up a temporary gauge and go from there.....

Hook up a mechanical gauge if you can...that will let you know if its an engine problem or an electrical problem.
