Coil Spring Rate Info
Has anyone measured or know what the stock springs rates on the rear coils of a 70' C-10 are? I'm looking for replacements and I see variable rate springs and "Heavy Duty" springs available from various companies. I'd like to do some comparisons prior to purchasing a set. (If you happen to have info on the front coils, that wouldn't hurt either). Any info would be appreciated.

I did find out some info on the stock springs for a 70 swb 1/2 ton with the coil spring rear suspension. I talked with the guys at Eaton Detroit Spring and they filled me in that the stock spring rate is 382 lbs and the free length of the springs are 13.19 inches. (If anyone wanted to know).

back to the top again do you by chance have the info on the front springs?
I have seen some postings but have not found them as of yet? Maybe in the racing section... dave

No biggie, I am contemplating a swap to coilovers and didnt know where the rates were as a starting point. Probably not even the same to start with?
