What is this? Name this part.
I think this would be a fun little thread. Name this part and function on the truck. ahaha.. So, its a 71 chevy. Its located underneath the dash. What is this thing???

It's not a very good view but I think it's a horn relay.

FYI the voltage regulator is under the hood, attached to the core support on the drivers side.

Thank you. I dont think i have a regulator. I think the PO when he put the I6 in updated the regulator. I just have an internally regulated alternator now with my 454 and since i sold my I6 i cant really 100% verify if that was external or internal. I do not have that box with the wires coming off it though.

I had a local shop covert my alt to a one wire, internally regulated unit. They also wound it to 100 amps

Cool. Ya mine is internally reg.d now. I think the po upgraded his and did that already... I dont have a regulator anywhere in that engine compartment so thats my guess. I will just have to check when im wiring everything up.
