Caliper Leaking
I am wondering if anyone else is having a problem with replacement 4wd calipers.
I have tried 3 calipers now from NAPA and they all have a small leak between the banjo washer and the caliper, they will leak with no pressure other then head pressure from gravity. I am currently using Inline Tube extended brake lines and the hardware that came with the calipers. I have tried stacking some banjo washers to see if I can pick up the imperfection in the caliper surface but I still have a slow leak. Any recommendations on where to find some decent calipers? |

Re: Caliper Leaking
Maybe a little of this on the threads. Just don't put in on the first thread or two so it cant get inside your system.

Uh-oh, I just bought some from napa. But I haven't put them on yet, so I'll have to wait and see.

Re: Caliper Leaking
The threads are not the problem.
The washer seating surface on the caliper is the cause. Sport/Truck if you don't mind let me know the outcome of your calipers, maybe my local store had a bad batch of them. |
