Edelbrock 1406 Question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

hopefully the pictures uploaded.

Why would there be vacuum leaking through the shaft where the arrow is pointing? using a stethescope, i hear a vacuum leaking coming from between the shaft and the carb housing.

Is there an o-ring or a seal in there?

Does anyone have a schematic of the 1406 thats any better than whats on Edelbrocks website?

i spoke to an edelbrock technician and he said that if vacuum is leaking through the shaft there is nothing to do to fix it. I have to replace the carb to fix the problem.

Has anyone else had this issue?
