TH 400 Kickdown Switch
I am looking for a TH 400 Kickdown Switch, 4bbl bracket, and cable. This switch is the one that mounts to carb. , like the ones in Camaros and Chevelles. Does anyone have one or know where I can find one?

My truck had an Edelbrock 1401 on it, and no linkage to the kickdown switch.
I bought a kickdown device from Lokar. I haven't installed it, yet. However, I had my transmission serviced, and also had the valve body modified for firmer shifts. They checked the kickdown switch in the tranny, and it is okay. I just need to get busy and get the Lokar piece installed. About $60. Go to www.lokar.com, for more info, or check with a hotrod shop in your area. Oh, I've since changed to an Edelbrock 1901 Q-Jet. I still don't have the kickdown linkage hooked up, but the modified tranny will kick down, as determined by a lack of vacuum at this time. The modulator is the smallest canister that would work with my TH400. Only thing I miss, is the kickdown to 1st.

The 400s will shift from 3 down to 2 without the elect kickdown. Mine is not hooked up......the thing kicked down to 1st a couple times when I throttled it a little around a corner, & those 4.10s tryed spinnin that longhorn in circles! thats a lot of truck to turn around with rear wheel steering

Do you have the brackets for mounting the switch. Almost any switch will work. You just need a way to mount it. The TH400 is electic it does not use a cable. I mounted my switch on the floor and just step on it when I need to kick down a gear.
