water pump help
If the water pump shaft has play in it will it keep throwing the belt off.

Yes, install a new pump. Check the pulley. If it is out of round, it probably caused the damage to your pump.

thank you so much, i have been fighting this for a 2 weeks and i could not figure it out. Finally went out today to take another stab at it, and as i was taking of the fan bolts i noticed the water pump shaft would move. So a new water pump should fix it and i could need a new pulley also

Check your other pulleys too. Especially the power steering pump.

Check your brackets as well. You never know when they might be a source of problems.

Thanks for all the help. I am going to attempt to fix it tomorrow I will let you know if it works or i go get it crushed.
